1963 Back-O'-The-Card: Rich Barry (Augusta Yankees)

As a schoolboy slugging star in Berkeley, California, Rich attracted interest from every major league club. He's making a steady climb through the Yankee system as an outfielder who can also play first base.
In 1959 at Class C Modesto, the youngster swatted 37 home runs with 111 RBIs and a .539 slugging average. Splitting 1960 between Class B Greensboro and Class A Binghamton, he had 20 homers, 59 RBIs and a .448 slugging average. 
At  Binghamton in '61, Rich slugged 23 homers with 81 RBIs and a .449 slugging average. Spending most of last year at Augusta, he hit 25 home runs with 81 RBIs and a .449 slugging average.
