"The Yankees acquired the veteran middle infielder from the Twins during the middle of the 1961 season. Billy played with the New York Giants in 1954 and 1955, before joining Baltimore in 1956.
He had the top fielding average among American League second basemen in 1957. In 1959 he led AL second basemen in double plays."
