HOW THE  YANKEES SCORED:
1st Inning: Cerv singled to center. Mantle singled through the middle, Cerv racing to third. Skowron singled through the middle, Cerv scoring and Mantle running to third. McDougald drew a bases on balls to load the bases. Labine was summoned from the bullpen to replace Mizell. Howard, the first man Labine faced, singled Mantle home. The bases remained loaded. Richardson hit a grand slammer on a 3-2 pitch. This was only the seventh grand slam homer hit in a World Series game. SIX RUNS.
4th Inning: Ford singled. Cerv grounded out, Ford going to second. Mantle homered into the bullpen, scoring Ford ahead of him. Skowron singled. McDougald singled, sending Skowron down to second. Howard slammed a hit off Hoak's chest to load the bases. Richardson singled to drive in Skowron and McDougald. Richardson established a World Series record with six RBI's in one game. FOUR RUNS.
