1956 Back-O'-The-Card: Tommy Byrne

"Tommy returned to the big leagues in 1954 and had the best pitching average in the American League in 1955. His two 3-hitters and five 4-hitters climaxed his great comeback. He hurled two complete games in the '55 World Series and gave up only three runs, with a 1.88 ERA."
