1962 Back-O'-The-Card: Bud Daley

"During the middle of the 1961 season, Kansas City dealt Bud to the Yankees in a three-man trade. The southpaw, who was originally the property of the Cleveland Indians, pitched effectively for New York. Bud beat Cincinnati in the final game of the 1961 World Series.
With the Athletics, Bud won 16 games in both 1959 and 1960."

1962 Back-O'-The-Card: Frankie Crosetti

Frankie was the greatest shortstop in Yankee history before Phil Rizzuto. In Game 2 of the 1938 World Series, with the Cubs leading 3-2 in the eighth and the great Dizzy Dean pitching, Frankie homered with a runner on base to give New York its margin of victory.
The Crow has been a part of six Yankee World Championships as a player and eight more as a coach. He's always willing to advise a Yankee rookie on how to have a winning attitude while wearing the Pinstripes.

1962 Back-O'-The-Card: Tex Clevenger

Tex broke into professional baseball in 1953 with a phenomenal 16-2 record for San Jose of the California League, with a 1.51 ERA with 157 strikeouts in 155 innings. This earned him a promotion to the Red Sox in 1954. Later traded to the Washington Senators and eventually taken by the Los Angeles Angels in the expansion draft, Tex has been employed primarily as a relief pitcher in the majors. He led the American League in games pitched in 1958 after topping the circuit in double plays by a pitcher in '57.
Acquired by the Yankees from the Angels in a multi-player swap during the '61 campaign, Tex provides depth to the New York mound staff as an experienced reliever who can occasionally start.

1962 Back-O'-The-Card: Bob Cerv

"Bob was drafted by the Angels before the 1961 season started, but in early May the Yankees made a deal which brought the outfielder back to New York. He hit three pinch-hit homers for the Yankees last year.
His biggest season was in 1958 with Kansas City when he hit .305, clouted 38 homers and batted in 104 runs."
