"Deron is one of the most promising of the Yankee farmhands. Those who should know compare him to Mickey Mantle for power and speed.
Deron led his league in home runs in 1956 and '57. He has his eye on the third baseman's job at Yankee Stadium. He's a good clutch hitter with a high RBI total."
