1960 Back-O'-The-Card: Bill Short

"Bill looks a little like Whitey Ford and the Yankees are hoping he'll also pitch like the star lefty. Last season he was the outstanding hurler in the International League and was named All-Star Minor League left-hander. He has good control and a fine strikeout record.
Bill spent the last six months in the Army."
