1960 Back-O'-The-Card: Johnny James

"Although Johnny didn't qualify for the pitching title, he had one of the best ERAs in the International League last year. In 1958 he was at Richmond and won eight games. Johnny was also up at the tail end of the campaign and hurled three innings for the New Yorkers.
Strictly a reliever, he stands a fine chance of making the majors with the Yankees this season. He cooperated in a no-hitter in spring training against the Phillies."
